Cardstock

Cardstock is thicker and more durable than writing or printing paper. Cardstock material is suitable for small and lightweight items such as dry food, cosmetics, jewelry, and medicinal oils.

Kraft Paper

Kraft paper is unbleached pulp, giving it a beautiful, natural brown color. Its wood-like and earthy texture exudes a certain appeal, especially for the environmentally conscious. This material can take on various printing techniques and finishes.

Corrugated Board

A corrugated board is made up of a fluted sheet that's sandwiched by two flat linerboards. The middle layer provides the needed cushioning and support for heavier contents. Corrugated board is popular for shipping supplies and material for food products, office supplies, electronics, healthcare items, and automotive parts.

Bux Board

Bux board boxes are made of corrugated paper stock in single, double, or triple layers. This makes this custom packaging burst- and tear-free, an ideal feature for housing breakable goods.

Offset printing

Also called lithography or litho-offset, it involves the transfer of the design and text from a cylindrical metal plate to a rubber sheet and onto paper, creating a clear, high-quality image. This is great when you have a large project and need exact color representation from your packaging solutions.

Flexographic printing

In this method, plates made of flexible photopolymer are imprinted with raised images and wrapped around cylinders that are mounted on a rotating press. Ink is then poured onto this roller that stamps ink onto the material. This results in distortion-free output that's recommended for large run-jobs.

Digital printing

Using the latest techniques in digital printing, electronic files are printed directly on your chosen material from your computer. This toner-based technology is usually best for on-demand and short print runs while maintaining high quality printing standards.

UV printing

Infrared emitters or ultra-violet (UV) lamps are used to cure or dry ink in UV printing, instead of thermal methods. Ink dries and hardens instantly. This makes the prints resistant to scratches and solvents.

Gravure printing

For this type of printing, ink goes to recessed printing plates their surfaces have engravings of the image and text. The inked plates are then rolled onto the printing surface.

Silkscreen printing

This printing technique involves pushing ink through a stencil made of fine mesh or polyester. Silkscreen prints have deep and bold colors. They work best for low to medium-quantity projects featuring one to two colors.

Laser engraving

In this process, heat from a laser beam causes part of the material's surface to vaporize, engraving a logo, text, or any other symbols on it. No ink or tools come in contact with the material. The visible and deep markings are permanent and abrasion-proof.

Scodix digital enhancement

Scodix machines can produce digital versions of the most popular raised-ink type finishes such as foil, varnish, glitter, and others with tactile effects.

Aqueous coating

The standard coating for custom packaging solutions, AQ coating uses clear, water-based varnish on your packaging material. Besides being safe to use for food products, this finish protects surfaces from scuffs and blemishes.

UV coating

This type of transparent coating involves subjecting varnished material to UV lamps, resulting in a glossy finish although you can also go for a matte finish. Either way, this provides a protective layer on your packaging surface.

Spot Gloss UV

For UV spot finishes, only specific areas of a printed surface are coated to seal in the color. This provides an eye-catching contrast to your artwork.

Soft-touch coating

With soft-touch coating, your packaging material gets a velvety exterior so that it becomes resistant to moisture, fingerprints, and scuffs. This is a popular choice for luxury and high-end packaging.

Varnish

This coating is a clear finish that's applied on your paperstock during or after printing. We can do flood varnishing (covering the entire press sheet) in glossy, matte, and satin.

Embossing

Single- or multi-level metal plates, or dies, are pressed into the surface of your packaging material under high pressure to physically raise portions on it. You could emboss your logo, brand or product name, or other design elements.

Gold and silver foiling

Also called hot foil stamping, this printing applies heat and pressure to apply gold or silver foils on the packaging box. This metalized look makes the surface shine and looks sophisticated.

Custom window cut-out with PVC sheet

Box covers or lids can feature a round, rectangular, or square die-cut window with a thin plastic patch. Also referred to as window patching, this feature is helpful for food and luxury products.
